Goodbye New York, Hello London

London Fashion Week was opened last night with Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief, (which I'll talk about later) and I am really excited about seeing what certain designers have in their new collections. In particular I am looking forward to Twenty8Twelve, Vivienne Westwood's Red Label, Mulberry and Burberry Prorsum. I always love their collections so cannot wait to see what is new.

Then bring on Paris Fashion Week where some of my true favourite designers will be showcased including John Galliano, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen and Elie Saab. I cannot wait.

So... here are some highlights from New York. I'd be here forever if I named everything I like but I particularly like the collections by Ralph Lauren and Badgley Mischka. I was also quite pleasantly surprised by The Row (The Olsen Twins line).

Two designs from the same designer and from the same show and yet they couldn't be more different. This is why Badgeley Mischka immediately caught my eye, I love designers who can create such a variety of looks in one collection. The dress I can instantly imagine appearing on a Red Carpet at some stage in the near future.

What I love about Ralph Lauren's new collection is that it is different from anything I've seen from him. He has a bohemian feel about it mixed with a hint of romanticism. I love the layered look he's created and the use of different materials.

To be honest I've never really liked Mary Kate and Ashley but then again I can't fault their sense in fashion. Yes I know they have made huge mistakes more than most but when they put their minds to it, it can be great.

I really loved their designs for their label The Row. I loved the simplicity of them and yet they managed to maintain a certain edge to them.
